Customer Agreements & Waivers

Petsoft manages your facility's legal agreements, liability waivers, and Terms of Service (TOS). You can require pet parents to digitally sign these documents before booking a reservation or adding a new pet.

Creating a New Policy

You can configure multiple agreements to cover different services, such as a general boarding waiver and a separate grooming release form.

  1. Go to Organization > Agreements & Policies.
  2. Click Create New Policy.
  3. Enter a Policy Name (e.g., "Boarding Liability Waiver").
  4. Paste the text of your agreement into the Content editor.
  5. Choose whether this agreement requires a signature upon account creation, or only when booking specific service types.
  6. Click Save Policy.

Updating an Existing Agreement

When you update an agreement, you can force existing customers to sign the new version.

  1. Navigate to Organization > Agreements & Policies.
  2. Click Edit next to the agreement you want to update.
  3. Make the necessary text changes.
  4. Check the box labeled Require Re-signature. This invalidates all previous signatures for this specific document.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Checking "Require Re-signature" will block pet parents from making new reservations until they log into the portal and sign the updated document.

Viewing Signed Agreements

Staff can verify when a customer signed an agreement and view the specific version they accepted.

  1. Go to Customers and search for the pet parent.
  2. Open the customer profile.
  3. Click the Agreements tab.
  4. A list of signed documents will appear, including the timestamp and the IP address recorded at the time of signing.
