Getting Your Business Ready
Welcome to Petsoft! This guide will show you how to set up your business information and basic rules so you can start taking bookings.
The Petsoft Settings Dashboard is your control center.
Where do I enter my business name and contact info?
To update your basic business details, go to Organization > Facility and click Edit next to your location.
| What to enter | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Business Name | This is the name your customers will see on emails and the portal. |
| Address | We use this to calculate sales tax and it shows up on your invoices. |
| Phone Number | This is the main number parents will call to reach you. |
| Email Address | This is where customer replies will go. |

Have more than one location? Each location needs to be set up on its own. Things like addresses and phone numbers are separate for each spot.
How Petsoft is organized
How do I set global rules for my business?
Under Organization > Settings, you can set rules that apply to everything in your system.
Common Rules & Settings
- Can I choose which animals we take? Yes. Use the Allow Dogs / Allow Cats toggles. If you only take dogs, turning off cats makes the booking screen much cleaner.
- How do I block specific breeds? Use the Restricted Breeds list. Pets of these breeds will need a manager to double-check their booking before it's confirmed. Manage this under Organization > Settings > Restricted Breeds.
- How do I set up vaccine rules? You can decide which shots are required for boarding or daycare and when to send reminders. Manage this under Organization > Settings > Vaccines.
