Sending Emails & Texts
Whether you're announcing a holiday special or sending an urgent update, Petsoft makes it easy to reach your customers.
To start, go to Organization > Campaigns and click New Campaign.
Step 1: Write your message
| Field | What to do |
|---|---|
| How to send | Choose Email or SMS (Text). |
| Campaign Name | Give it a name so you can find it later (customers won't see this). |
| Subject Line | (Email only) This is the first thing customers see in their inbox. |
| Message | Type your message here. Use the buttons like [Pet Parent Name] to automatically add their name to the message! |
| Purpose | Is this a Holiday Special (Marketing) or an Urgent Update? People who said "no" to marketing won't get marketing emails. |
A note on text messages: Short texts (under 160 characters) are cheapest. If your text is very long, it might cost more to send and could arrive in several pieces.
Step 2: When should it go out?
You can choose to Send immediately or Pick a later date and time. This is great for setting up holiday announcements weeks in advance!
Step 3: Who will get this message?
You don't have to send it to everyone. You can pick exactly who should hear from you:
Ways to pick your audience:
- By Service: Only send to people who use Grooming.
- By Pet: Only send to dog owners or cat owners.
- By Date: Only send to people who have visited in the last 6 months.
- New Customers: Only send to people who had their first visit this month.
Step 4: Check and Send
Before you hit send, click Search to see the list of people who will get the message. It's always a good idea to double-check!
When you're ready, click Save Campaign.
Did they open it? You can see how many people opened your email by going back to the Campaigns page and clicking Reports.
