Reviewing & Signing Agreements

Before submitting a booking request, pet parents must read and sign your facility's required agreements, such as liability waivers or Terms of Service. This process happens entirely within the Pet Parent Portal.

Initial Account Setup

When a new customer creates an account, they are prompted to complete their profile. As part of this onboarding flow:

  1. The customer enters their contact information and adds their pets.
  2. The system presents the facility's required general agreements.
  3. The customer must scroll through the document text.
  4. At the bottom, they type their full legal name into the digital signature field.
  5. They click I Agree to proceed.

The system records the timestamp and IP address of the signature and stores it on the customer's profile.

Service-Specific Waivers

If your facility requires specific waivers for certain services (e.g., a grooming release form), the system presents these during the checkout process.

  1. The pet parent selects dates and chooses a service.
  2. Before confirming the booking request, the portal displays any unsigned agreements related to that service.
  3. The parent signs the document electronically.
  4. The booking request is submitted.

Updated Policies

If the facility updates an agreement and requires a re-signature, the pet parent will be prompted to sign the new version the next time they log into the portal. They will not be able to create new reservation requests until the updated policy is signed.
